About Izukanji Sikazwe

Izukanji Sikazwe is a distinguished Zambian infectious disease physician, HIV program implementation leader, and clinical researcher with over 20 years of experience advancing public health solutions for HIV in her community and beyond. A graduate of the University of Zambia School of Medicine, she further specialized through an Internal Medicine residency at Good Samaritan Hospital (Baltimore) and an Infectious Disease fellowship at the University of Maryland. She also holds a Master of Public Health from Michigan State University and is an esteemed alumna of the Africa Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, Kofi Annan Global Public Health Leadership Program. She is passionate about improving the health outcomes of people living with HIV and currently serves as the Head of HIV, at the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
