Dr. Harmony P. Garges is Chief Global Health Officer at GSK, where she leads the company’s global health strategy to positively impact more than 1.3 billion people in lower-income countries this decade. As a physician, her expertise is in paediatric infectious diseases, and she spent nearly 20 years caring for children living with HIV. With more than two decades in the pharmaceutical industry, she has developed or launched a dozen products across multiple therapy areas in both Pharma and Consumer Healthcare. In her current role, Harmony leads the Global Health team, which is changing the trajectory of high burden diseases in lower-income countries with a focus on the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. Harmony completed her medical training and residency at Duke University Medical Center in the US, where she has served as Consulting Faculty and Associate Professor. She also holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
