Andy Pattison

Over the past 25 years, Andy Pattison has held senior digital leadership roles across the private, nonprofit and international sectors, including Head of Online at WWF International, Head of Online at Credit Suisse Private Banking and Digital Manager at UEFA. At WHO, Andy leads work on Frontier Technologies. His focus is on raising the reach and visibility of trusted, science-based health content, delivering vital public health messages to more people through more channels, and helping individuals make better-informed decisions about their health. During the COVID-19 emergency, Andy brought together leading technology companies to support WHO’s response. He now leads the Tech Task Force, a collaboration of more than 40 companies and research partners working to combat health misinformation, strengthen health-information integrity, promote trusted content, and address issues including youth safety and the impact of social media on health. Andy’s portfolio includes working with Member States and technology partners to develop and responsibly deploy AI-powered and agentic health solutions; the Fides network of more than 1,200 healthcare creators across over 60 countries; WHO’s health services and channels on platforms including WhatsApp, Messenger and Viber; and partnerships exploring the role of video games in health.
