Join Princess Dina Mired of Jordan and a host of high level speakers to discuss the challenges and solutions for tackling barriers to cancer care.
Cancer is one of the fastest growing non-communicable diseases (NCDs). A coordinated global effort between patients, the biopharmaceutical industry, government and civil society is urgently needed to address the full range of barriers to treatment and care, and increase the availability of affordable cancer care and access to essential medicines.
But with so many different barriers and needs to address, how are these multi-sectoral collaborations created and what considerations need to be taken into account for these partnerships to be impactful? True collaboration requires buy in from all stakeholders, and a decision making process that weighs a diverse set of needs and balances them with the best interests of patients.
This panel will explore the lessons learned and success factors that communities across the world need to be aware of to form partnerships that make significant progress in reducing premature deaths from NCDs. Speakers from the government, industry, NGOs and patient advocacy organizations will participate to share their perspectives.
