About the session
The world has made significant progress in advancing the health and rights of women and girls. Yet investment in maternal health, sexual and reproductive health, and female cancers continues to fall short of what is needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Closing these gaps will require not only more resources, but also new ways of mobilizing, deploying and scaling capital for lasting impact.
This high-level session will convene leaders from governments, multilateral development banks, development finance institutions, international organizations, philanthropy, the private sector, academia and civil society to explore how innovative financing can help transform the way women’s health is financed and delivered. Participants will examine practical approaches to mobilizing public and private capital, strengthening country ownership, and creating investment models that can accelerate the adoption and scale-up of proven women’s health innovations.
Drawing on emerging country experiences and new cross-sector partnerships, the discussion will explore how blended finance, technical assistance, digital technologies, data and artificial intelligence can help de-risk investment, strengthen health systems and improve health outcomes. The session will also showcase examples of partnerships that demonstrate how innovation can move from pilot to population scale.
Designed as a solutions-focused dialogue, the session will provide participants with practical insights, new partnership opportunities and actionable ideas to help shape the next generation of investment in women’s health—advancing healthier societies, stronger economies and sustainable development.
