WHS Academic Alliance Expert Meeting on Oral Health and General Health
The WHS Academic Alliance Working Group on Oral Health and General Health, chaired by Sapienza University of Rome, hosted the Expert Meeting “Connecting the Dots: Oral Health as a Potential Biomarker for General Health” on 8–9 June 2026 at Sapienza University of Rome.

The meeting brought together leading researchers, clinicians, and public health experts from around the world to explore the growing evidence linking oral health to overall health and well-being. Discussions focused on the role of oral health as a potential biomarker for systemic diseases, opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, and implications for research, policy, and healthcare practice.
The event was held in the Organi Collegiali Room of the Rectorate Building and will be accessible both in person and online.
