Oral Health and General Health

The Working Group brings together more than 30 experts across 12 WHS Academic Alliance member institutions from around the world, with Sapienza University of Rome serving as coordinator. It focuses on strengthening the link between oral health and overall health and advancing scalable strategies, education, and actionable policies to strengthen prevention, improve outcomes, and support sustainable change through oral care.

  3. Universal Health Coverage: Support the integration of oral health into universal health coverage

  4. Noncommunicable Diseases: Strengthen the role of oral health in the prevention and management of NCDs

  5. Research and Evidence: Explore oral health as a potential biomarker for general health

  6. Policy and Practice: Advance scalable strategies, education, and actionable policies
