Effective healthcare institutions need effective leaders.

Held in conjunction with the World Health Summit, the Young Physician Leaders (YPL) Programme helps build these capacites. 

Particpants will recieve leadership training, visit Berlin area research laboratories, and particpate in the World Health Summit, joining the discussion with leaders in medicine, policy, buisiness, and civil society. 


Young Physician Leaders is a group with diverse specialities and backgrounds. A list of particpants who have already been trained in the program can be found in the dedicated YPL Directory.


The IAP Health initiative Young Physician Leaders is organized in partnership with the World Health Summit and the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, Universities and National Academies. It is organized by the InterAcademy Partnership in collaboration with the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) and supported by the Tides Foundation, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Bayer Science & Education Foundation, with additional support from Siemens Healthineers.
