Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)
The Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (German: Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung), abbreviated BMZ, is a cabinet-level ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany. Together with 65 partner countries, it works to promote peace, improve living conditions and advance justice, thereby helping to prevent conflicts, strengthen social stability and foster sustainable economic development. The BMZ cooperates with international organizations involved in development including the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and the United Nations.
