About Sabena Solomon
Sabena Solomon is Vice President, Global Health Access at GSK, where she leads work to support sustainable access to GSK’s innovations for Global Health. She and her team contribute to GSK’s purpose to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together, and to the company’s ambition to positively impact the health of 2.5 billion people in this decade, including at least 1.3 billion people in lower-income countries.
Sabena has more than 30 years’ experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, primarily across GSK and ViiV Healthcare, with leadership roles spanning Global Health, country management, commercial strategy, partnerships and access. Before her current role, she led Impact Partnerships in Global Health, overseeing humanitarian response and catalytic health-system and community partnerships. Earlier roles included Vice President and General Manager for GSK’s Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg cluster; General Manager, Finland; and senior roles at ViiV Healthcare, including Regional Commercial Director in the US and Head of Alliance Countries and Capabilities for Europe. Throughout this time, Sabena has drawn on this international experience, leading a range of steering committees, supporting industry associations and focuses on practical pathways that help innovations reach patients and communities in lower-income countries, working within partnerships and sustainable access models.
