Paolo Colchao-Claux

Paulo Colchao, veterinarian graduated from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), with a Master’s degree in Wild Animal Health from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. He has over 12 years of national and international experience in wildlife research and conservation projects in free-ranging populations, having participated in wildlife health assessments, population and behavioral studies, as well as wildlife health interventions. He currently works as a Wildlife Health Specialist for the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in Peru. His work focuses on strengthening wildlife health management within and outside protected areas in Peru, advancing the development of a national wildlife health surveillance system, and promoting the implementation of the One Health approach.
