About Laura Maaß
Dr Laura Maaß has a background in public health with a focus on healthcare research and digital public health. She obtained a Master of Arts in Healthcare Research at the University of Bremen and earned her Dr Public Health kn 2024 at the University of Bremen on developing a standardized tool for measuring the digital maturity of national health systems. Since 2024, she works as a postdoctoral researcher for the digitalization of primary and secondary prevention at the Leibniz ScienceCampus Digital Public Health Bremen.
Lauras research currently focuses on the digital transformation of health systems, including the application of AI in primary healthcare and developing guidance for responsible use of AI in public health. She is further involved in research projects targeting the development of digital (health) competence frameworks for the health workforce. Laura has been the speaker of the Digital Public Health Section of the German Public Health Association (DGPH) since 2022 and is the research coordinator of the Digital Health & AI Section of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA).
