Dr. Kallaya Sritunyalucksana-Dangtip

Dr. Kallaya Sritunyalucksana-Dangtip is a distinguished researcher and educator in the field of shrimp health and aquaculture. She holds two doctoral degrees: a Ph.D. in Comparative Physiology from Uppsala University, Sweden, and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Mahidol University, Thailand. Dr. Kallaya has been a principal researcher at the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in Thailand. Her research focuses on shrimp immunology, diseases, and the development of biotechnological solutions for disease control in shrimp aquaculture. She has authored over 100 international peer-reviewed publications and has an h-index of 36. Dr. Kallaya has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Newton Prize Chairman’s Award and recognition as one of Stanford University’s world’s top 2% scientists in Fisheries. She is also the Director of the Integrated Aquatic Biotechnology Research Group at BIOTEC.
