Oliver Haas has 20 years of professional experience in international cooperation.
Prior to his current assignment at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) as Head of the Global Division “Health, Education, Social Inclusion” he was Senior Operations Officer at the World Bank Group in Washington D.C., where he co-initiated an international initiative on managing knowledge in development. Oliver has worked in Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America where he led programs in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
Oliver has lectured at various institutions such as Georgetown and George Washington University, University of Barcelona and the Technical Universities in Kaiserslautern and Darmstadt, Germany.
He is publisher of „OrganisationsEntwicklung“, a Germany-based journal on organizational development. He has also authored various publications on change management, organizational learning, and TVET. His current book “The Change-Navigator” was published in August 2017. His latest book titled “Knowledge Management in digital change” deals with digitally enabled value creation in organizations.
Oliver holds a degree in Sociology (Berlin) and Organizational Development.
