Roland Göhde is Chairman of the Board of GHA - German Health Alliance, a multisectoral initiative with roots having been jointly established by BDI - Federation of German Industries and the German government. Göhde is also Co-Founder & CEO of the newly established Virchow Foundation for Global Health which is awarding the Virchow Prize for Global Health for the first time in 2022. Furthermore, he is Senior Managing Director of German diagnostics company Sysmex Partec. Before, he held positions as Managing Partner from 2000 to 2014 and as HIV/AIDS Project Coordinator of Partec. In honorary function, Göhde is a Founding Member of the Advisory Group of the Health Innovation Exchange initially established by UNAIDS, the World Health Summit Board of Trustees & Council, the Management Board of the German-African Business Association, the Board of the BDI Committee on Industrial Healthcare Economy, the Strategic Board of the BDI Initiative Digital Healthcare, Permanent Guest of the BDI Presidential Board and Chair of the Private Sector Advisory Board of GIZ. He is the main initiator of the annual 'German-African Healthcare Forum' launched in 2014 in conjunction and close cooperation with the World Health Summit. Roland Göhde has been active as Chairman of the Board of the Free State of Saxony biotechnology/life sciences association 'biosaxony' from 2009 to 2016. From 2012 to 2014 he acted as Founding Member of the Advisory Board of the Coordinating Agency for the Free State of Saxony Healthcare Sector. Roland Göhde is Co-Founder and Member of the Board of the charitable Göhde Foundation, established in 2012.
