Chantal Friebertshaeuser

Senior Vice President & Managing Director of MSD Germany Chantal Friebertshaeuser is the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of MSD Germany since March 2019. She also sits on the Board of the German American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham). MSD is the trade name of Merck & Co. Inc. outside of the USA and Canada, headquartered in Kenilworth, New Jersey USA. In Germany, the biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Haar, employs more than 2,500 people over7 sites with focus in the fields of both human and animal health. Chantal started at MSD in Germany in 2007, and since then has heldseveral roles of increasing responsibility within the company. This has included Managing Director of Austria, where she also served as Vice President of the Austrian Pharmig; and ssociate Vice President in Global Vaccines, leading the HPV vaccines franchise. Prior to MSD she worked at Eli Lilly Pharma for 10 years. Chantal is a French citizen and holds a diploma from the Business School of ESC Rennes (France) and a Master of Arts in International Business from the Open University (UK). She is also a certified Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma
