Laura Quinn is a final year medical student studying at the University of Birmingham, England, UK. She is looking to pursue a career in diabetology, with an interest in academia given her previous involvement in diabetes observational studies, laboratory research and systematic reviews from her time in medical school and a BioMedical Science Degree. She is also a young person living with type one diabetes; continuing to challenge herself and demonstrate that diabetes does not have to be a barrier to success. Lauren works closely with the International Diabetes Federation Europe as an international advocate, health educator and ambassador. She is passionate about improving care for all persons with diabetes across the European region and is honoured to present at the World Health Summit to share my stories of success, experience and areas for improvement
