Dr Terje Peetso is a Chief Medical Innovation Officer at the North Estonia Medical Centre in Tallinn. Among other tasks she is also responsible for the cooperation with other hospitals and clinical partners in Estonia and abroad.
Dr Peetso worked from 2003 – 2018 in the European Commission on digital health, tobacco control and risk assessment. Before joining the North Estonia Medical Centre, Peetso was the Head of Sector on eHealth and Ageing Policy in the European Commission`s DG CONNECT. In 2014 she was the EU Fellow in the University of Southern California, USA, where her research focus was on the obstacles which hinder the introduction eHealth in healthcare systems. 2018 – 2023 Dr Peetso was a member of management board of the NEMC being responsible for R&D, training, client service and quality control.
Dr Peetso holds a diploma in medicine from the University of Tartu, Estonia.
