Penilla Gunther

Penilla Gunther is a former Member of Swedish Parliament and Founder of the initiative FOKUS Patient®; a meeting place for healthcare and life science. She is involved in several areas and among them can be mentioned patient’s rights, CVD, transplantation & organ donation, and cancer. Penilla is President of the European Patient Safety Foundation and has been a member of the Heart Failure Policy Network for many years. She was appointed by the European Commission 2022 as Member of the Cancer Mission Board for implementing goals from the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan together with the Horizon Programme . Penilla has always been fighting for equity in society overall and especially in healthcare. With her overarching knowledge and approach to healthcare and life science, Penilla is often asked to be part of steering committees, advisory boards, as a consultant for policy training or being a speaker at national or international meetings.
