About Danielle Walwyn
Danielle Walwyn is a public health professional and Grants Manager at the Healthy Caribbean Coalition (HCC), where she supports regional civil-society-driven advocacy to advance healthy food policies and reduce the burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) across the Caribbean. With nearly a decade of experience in health promotion and strategic collaboration, Danielle works with governments, civil society, regional institutions, and international partners to advance evidence-informed policies that improve food environments, protect children's health, and strengthen meaningful engagement of youth and people with lived experience in health decision-making. She also leads Healthy Caribbean Youth (HCY), the Caribbean's only regional youth network dedicated to NCD prevention, and serves as HCC's representative on the World Health Organisation (WHO) Youth Council. Danielle holds a Master of Science in Health Promotion and has contributed to research on school-based physical activity and health behaviour surveillance in Antigua and Barbuda and movement interventions in St. Kitts. She is passionate about supporting communities to advocate for healthier environments.
