Ms Maria Jahrmann Bjerke has served as State Secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services since 2017, representing the Conservative Party. Prior to this, she served as Political Adviser on health policy for the Conservative Party Group in the Norwegian Parliament for four years. Ms Bjerke's responsibilities cover health legislation, primary health care, ICT policies in the health sector, and mental health and drug addiction policies. Before entering politics, she worked as legal adviser at the County Governor of Oslo and Akershus. Ms Bjerke holds a Master Degree in Law.
