Prof. Dr. Dr. Andreas Heinz is Director of the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Campus Charité Mitte in Berlin since 2002. From 2010-2014 he was President of the German Society of Biological Psychiatry (DGBP).
Prof. Heinz studied medicine, philosophy and anthropology at the University of Bochum, at the Freie Universität Berlin and at Howard University, Washington DC. Subsequently he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Health , Bethesda MD . In 1998 he was habilitated at the Freie Universität in psychiatry and psychotherapy. 2013 Prof. Heinz gained his second doctorate at the Faculty of Philosophy at Potsdam University.
