Dr. Alexia Zurkuhlen is chairwoman of the board of Kuratorium Deutsche Altershilfe (KDA).
Previously, she was managing director of the Cologne-Bonn Health Region Association, managing director of HRCB Projekt GmbH, and director of the gewi Institute for Health Economics. She is also involved in the German Health Regions Network, among other things. She grew up in France, studied political science in France, Ireland, and Germany, and earned her doctorate at the University of Münster on the role of civil society in the emergence of the policy field of “global health” at the EU level.
The KDA is a non-profit, independent organization under the patronage of the Federal President. The scientists see their work as a bridge between research and practice in the field of good living in old age.
