Cathryn Clüver Ashbrook

Cathryn Clüver Ashbrook is a German-American political scientist and a leading voice on transatlantic affairs. She has served as a CNN correspondent, directed the Future of Diplomacy Project at Harvard Kennedy School, and led the German Council on Foreign Relations. Today, she works at the Bertelsmann Stiftung on transatlantic relations, U.S. politics, technology governance, and the future of democracy. Her forthcoming book, The American Wake-Up Call, will be published in January 2026.
