Birgit König

Dr. Birgit König is the first female member of the Executive Committee of Allianz Germany. In 2011, she became part of the Management Board of Allianz Private Health Insurance and one year later received a promotion to Head of Management Board. She became a partner in 2000 and member of the European Health Care Practice. Dr. König worked for the consultancy firm McKinsey as a consultant and project manager, focusing on health systems. After studying Biology and finishing her PhD in Biochemistry in Erlangen, Dr. König spent two years doing research in Hannover and San Francisco.
