About Ambassador Susanne Baumann
The office of 'Federal Government Commissioner for Disarmament and Arms Control' was created in 1965 with a view to closely linking the efforts to reunify Germany with the disarmament negotiations of the major powers. The Commissioner, Ambassador Susanne Baumann, has headed the Foreign Office's International Order, United Nations and Arms Control Division since the end of July 2018.
