Dr. Sultani Hadley Matendechero is the head of the Kenya National Public Health Institute – Known as the Kenya CDC. Prior to this appointment, he was the head of the Division of Vector Borne and Neglected Tropical Diseases at the Ministry of Health, where he also served as the national Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Program Manager. Dr. Sultani is a Consultant Clinical Pharmacist with more than 15 years’ experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management in clinical and public health settings. He is the inaugural Chairperson of the African NTD Program Managers’ Community of Practice, current Chairperson of the Leishmaniasis East Africa Platform and a member of several global technical groups and committees for NTD elimination and control.
