Aziz Agaba

Aziz Agaba is a health governance and patient engagement expert with more than 15 years of experience driving rights-based public health interventions in East and West Africa. He is a Senior Program Officer at the Uganda National Health Consumers’ Organisation (UNHCO). He has coordinated civil society efforts and engaged policymakers to promote accountability and social justice in health, notably resulting in the tabling of Uganda’s Patients' Rights and Responsibilities Bill. Aziz has led the rollout of the 3P Framework (Patient, Provider, Policymaker engagement) across Ethiopia, Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique and Sierra Leone to translate complex sepsis research into structured civic and policy action. His work focuses on leveraging community governance and health-rights literacy to optimize patient care.
