Dr. Anne Eleanor Nkieh-Nyak Fonji

Dr. Anne Eleanor Fonji is a hospital pharmacist from Cameroon and is the immediate past chairperson of Public Health at the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation, a federation representing more than 600000 pharmacy students and recent graduates from 100+ countries around the world. In this capacity, she served as IPSF’s focal point to WHO, UNFCCC, UNEP and also as a member of the health and education working group of the WHO Youth Council. Eleanor has represented IPSF at the WHO Regional Committee Meetings, IAS conference on HIV science, World Health Summit, WHO AfRO Youth forum and coordinated IPSF’s delegations to the World Health Assembly, WHO EBM, UNEA-7 and UNFCCC COP30 bringing youth perspectives on discussions on health policy, climate action and global health governance . She has also been involved in pharmacy and health advocacy campaigns for more than 9 nine years now, from a grassroot level impacting rural communities in her country, to a national and international level. Her focus areas includes AMR, digital health, HIV advocacy, universal health coverage and promoting rational usage of medications. Eleanor is dedicated to promoting and fostering meaningful youth engagement in global health governance and advocating for public health issues to create a healthier world.
