Dr. Anamaria Camargo

Anamaria Camargo, PhD, is Superintendent of Research at Hospital Sírio-Libanês in São Paulo, SP, Brazil, where she leads the institution’s clinical and translational research activities and its Graduate Program in Health Sciences. A molecular biologist by training, she has extensive experience in cancer genomics and precision medicine and has played a key role in advancing genomic research in Brazil. She has spent more than 15 years at Sírio-Libanês, contributing to the development and expansion of its research ecosystem and leveraging health data and artificial intelligence to advance research and patient care. Her current work focuses on strengthening the integration of scientific discovery, clinical research, and healthcare delivery, fostering collaborations across academia, healthcare institutions, and industry to accelerate innovation and translate scientific knowledge into meaningful impact for patients and health systems.
