Theo-Ben Kandetu

As the Deputy Executive Director, a.i, in the Office of the Executive Director at the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Namibia, Dr Kandetu serves as the chief advisor to the Executive Director on strategies to advance public health and clinical services in the Ministry, amongst other portfolios. Prior to this position, he served as Health Attaché at the Namibian Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva. At the advent of COVID-19, Dr Kandetu was appointed as the Head of Case Management for Namibia's COVID-19 Emergency Response Task Force. In addition to his outstanding experience in global health policy, in particular concerning WHO governance and finance matters, Dr Kandetu is a medical doctor by training.
