About Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Sabine Gabrysch
Sabine Gabrysch is Professor for Climate Change and Health at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Department Head at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. She holds a medical degree from the University of Tuebingen in Germany and an MSc and PhD in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). She is also Honorary Professor at LSHTM, board member of the German Society of Epidemiology, and has previously headed the Unit of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Heidelberg University's Institute of Global Health. Her research interests are in maternal and child health in low-income settings, in particular malnutrition and fetal programming, and global environmental change. In 2018, she received the 'Preis für mutige Wissenschaft' (Award for bold research) of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg for her research project 'Food and Agricultural Approaches to Reducing Malnutrition' (FAARM) in Bangladesh.
