Paul Ulrich Unschuld

Prof. Dr. Paul Unschuld holds position as Professor and Director of the Horst-Goertz-Institute for the Theory, History and Ethics of Chinese Life Sciences( HGI ) at the Charité in Berlin since 2006. He received his PhD in Sinology in 1971 and acquired in 1974 a Master of Public Health. From 1975 to 1984 he taught at the School of Hygiene and Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore , most recently as a Visiting Associate Professor . From 1986 to 2006 he was Professor and Director of the Institute for the History of Medicine at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
