Björn Kümmel, Head of Unit Global Health in the German Federal Ministry of Health. His unit is in charge of coordinating global health in general, such as the Federal Government’s strategy on Global Health but also World Health Organization (WHO) in general with a specific focus on strengthening WHO’s role in global health governance and the broader global health architecture. Björn Kümmel was the German representative to the Executive Board of WHO, Vice-Chair of the Board, Chair of the Programme, Budget and Administration Committee of WHO and Chair of the WHO Working Group on Sustainable Financing.
