Orazio Schillaci

Prof. Orazio Schillaci, MD, 57-year-old physician, is the italian Minister of Health since October 2022. Before being appointed as Minister of Health, he held the position of Rector of the University of Tor Vergata (Rome) since 2019. He is a full professor of Nuclear Medicine and former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the same University. In 2020 he was appointed as a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Health Institute. He has held positions in numerous scientific bodies. He is the author of more than 350 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals and a member of the editorial boards of numerous international scientific journals.
