Eduardo Eugenio Bittencourt de Gomensoro is an accomplished Medical Affairs executive with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has a stellar track record in Global, Regional, and Local roles, managing Medical Affairs and Clinical Development programs for leading pharmaceutical companies. Eduardo has expertise in Vaccines, RX (Diabetes, Osteoporosis, HRT, STDs), and Biologicals. Currently serving as the Global Medical and Scientific Affairs Lead for Dengue at Takeda, Eduardo is responsible for the strategic direction and operational activities related to medical and scientific engagement for Takeda’s dengue vaccine. He has previously held roles as Vaccines Medical Affairs Head for Europe & Canada, and directed vaccines medical affairs in Spain, Portugal, and Israel at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
Eduardo holds an International Executive Master in Management from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA in Marketing, and a Postgraduate degree in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish, with basic German proficiency. Outside of work, he enjoys competitive sailing, scuba diving, mountain biking, and traveling with his family.
