Dave Hurhangee is the CEO and CTO of Waire Health which designs and manufactures state-of-the-art medical grade wearable vital signs monitors. Dave started his career in wearables in 1985 when he designed the Radiation Dose monitoring system for nuclear submarines for HM Navy in the UK. Recently having been a Phase II winner in the E.U. Nightingale project who’s goal was to design the most advanced wearable solution for use in both hospitals and homes, our sensor design went on to win an E.U. Seal Of Excellence award. Waire Health sensors focus on accuracy and usability for both the patient and the clinicians. The sensors record a range of vital signs including a cuffless blood pressure estimation and continuous ECG. Our sensors are autonomous and will work anywhere without the need for infrastructure. All communication channels are built into the device including Wi-Fi and a global cellular capability. The sensors are also designed as an ideal platform for academic research and for others to undertake research in their own specialist fields and generate their own I.P. Waire Health sensors are currently being trialled at very large scale in national projects in several countries around the World. Waire Health has achieved significant recognition in international business awards, grants and competitions.
