Dominique Kerouedan is a Medical doctor, specialized in Epidemiology and Public Health (MPH, MSc, PhD), and did a BA in Law. Dominique has always been committed to the respect of human rights in the developing countries she has been working over the past 35 years in the following areas: Afghan refugees camps in Pakistan, Karen refugees camps in Thailand, managing international cooperation projects, strengthening health systems and conducting independent expert evaluations of aid to health at country level, including for the Global Funds, the European Commission, the World Bank and UN agencies. Since 2017 she is working in three medico-social centers in Paris, taking care of migrants and refugees and has been appointed by the UNHCR Office Representative in Paris as a Judge Assessor to the National Court of Asylum in France in September 2019. Her field experience as well as her knowledge of refugees and migrants’ health and administrative/law situations in France contribute, as she wished to, and as she humbly hopes to, improve the justice of the medical and justice-related decisions that are made about refugees and migrants individually and personally.
Dominique Kerouedan is an Elected Member of the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), and has been working within the Academy of Medicine on the Immigration situation in France, co-writer of the Report: 'L’immigration en France: situation sanitaire et sociale' . Besides, since March 2020, she’s been invited to be part of the Academy of Medicine 'Covid-19-Epidemic' specific Group within which she founded the Academy of Medicine 'Working Group' on the 'Covid-19 pandemic situation and response in Sub-Saharan Africa'. This Working Group Report about the observations of our Colleagues on the continent over the period March-October 2020, is currently being written with the collaboration of Colleagues based in 12 countries and 3 regions (West and Central Africa, Eastern Africa as well as Portuguese-speaking countries). Another significant work was to recently direct and coordinate the writing of a Special issue of the 'Haut Conseil de la Santé Publique' Journal in France on Migrant Health.

Besides, Dominique Kerouedan is the Founder and Scientific Adviser of the Concentration in Global Health at the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po (2010-2020) , and was entrusted the Chair Knowledge against Poverty at the College de France where she taught about the Geopolitics of Global Health and offered a geographical perspective on health and policy situations in Sub-Saharan African countries (2012-2013) .
