About Prof. Dr. Gregory Katz
Gregory Katz is Chaired Professor of Innovation Management & Healthcare Performance at the University Paris-Descartes Medical School. He is also Director of Research at ELSAN, a leading group of private hospitals. Since 2018, he is Chairman of Digital Leaders in Health, a think tank dedicated to connected health. His publications focus on industrial economics and health policy applied to medical genomics & stem cell banking. His most recent research activities are dedicated to value-based healthcare, payment reforms, the development of PROM instruments, their organizational impact for medical teams, especially in the field of cataract and orthopaedic surgery. In 2009, he received the San Benedetto International Award for his achievements in bioethics and humanism. In 2015, he was invited as eminent scholar for the Ground Rounds Lecture at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is invited on expert panels by the OECD, the European Parliament, the Unesco, the French Senate, the French Conseil d'Etat and the French Ministry of Health.
