Ieva Berankytė is the elected Liaison Officer for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Issues including HIV and AIDS of the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) - a global youth - led organization representing 1.3 million medical students. She has been working on SRHR for the past 4 years on local, national and international levels, with multiple experiences in advocacy, capacity building, project management and campaigning in IFMSA's main focus areas for SRHR and Global Health. She has also served as IFMSA’s Regional Assistant for Europe in the committee designated for SRHR. Ieva has delivered an international workshop on Access to Safe Abortion and has taken part in drafting multiple IFMSA policy documents related to global SRHR issues such as Gender - Based Violence, Access to Safe Abortion, Access to Family Planning and Contraception and others.
