Ben is the Community Manager for OpenTrials, a project which aims to produce an open, easy-to-use, linked database of information about the world's clinical trials.
Before joining the team, Ben worked as a project coordinator on AllTrials, a campaign which calls for greater transparency in clinical trials. He started life as a web developer, creating and supporting systems, before moving into psychology where he worked mostly in the clinical psychology field, researching and supporting therapeutic work in adult mental health. Ben has a BSc in Psychology from the University of Surrey and an MSc in Psychological Research from the University of Oxford.
Ben has interests across the open space, but particularly open science and open access. He is also interested in issues relating to privacy, surveillance, and freedom of expression and information.
Outside of work, Ben can be found climbing, tinkering with personal projects, and going to interesting talks in London, where he lives.
