Pinyo Rattanaumpawan is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine and serves as Director of the Clinical Trials Unit at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. The Clinical Trials Unit supports both investigator-initiated projects and industry-sponsored research.
Her research interests center on bacterial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship. She has published more than 70 international peer-reviewed articles on infectious diseases and health economic analysis, and has conducted over 50 clinical studies in the fields of antimicrobial resistance and antibiotics.
In addition to her leadership role in antimicrobial stewardship at Siriraj Hospital, she holds several key national positions, including Executive Member of the Infectious Disease Association of Thailand, Member of the National AMR Working Group, and Member of the National List of Essential Medicines (Infectious Disease Subcommittee).
