General Manager of the General Administration for Registration of Herbal Products at the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), with over 15 years of experience in herbal medicine regulation. Co-founder of the Herbal Medicines Receiving Section at EDA. She has served as Rapporteur and member of various national committees developing herbal registration guidelines and the Egyptian Herbal Monograph. National Focal Point of the International Regulatory Cooperation on Herbal Medicines (IRCH). She participated in the 1st WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine (2023) and member of the Steering Committee of the 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine and is the national focal point for WHO’s third global survey on Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine (TCIM). She is also an active advisor on the WHO TCIM Strategy 2025–2034, and contributed to the review of the work Plan for the African Union’s third decade of Traditional Medicine. She is a member of the Global Consortium for Safe and Effective Traditional Medicine (GEM), and participant in the WHO survey on herbal medicine regulation in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (2025). She has contributed to key WHO initiatives, including the Global Technical Coordination Meeting for Traditional Medicine (GTMC), and the Expert Consultation on the WHO TCIM Strategy in Saudi Arabia. She regularly collaborates with WHO and other global partners in TCIM-related activities.
