Tugce Schmitt

Tugce is a health governance research associate at the Hertie School in Berlin working for the project 'Neustart'. She is specialized in evidence-informed health policymaking and has interdisciplinary work experience in research, legislative work, advocacy and more specifically in knowledge translation and implementation sciences. She has a background in public health (Charité Medical University of Berlin, Germany) and public policy (University of Bath, UK). Through her external PhD position (Maastricht University, Netherlands) she aims to discover the macro-level contextual factors that influence the transfer of knowledge from academia to policymaking.
