About Amanda Bok
Amanda is a societal and system thinker driven to achieve sustainable impact through multi-stakeholder collaboration and co-creation. She is The Synergist’s Chief Partnership Officer, spokesperson, senior leadership team member, lead incubator of the ‘Global Patient Movement Catalyst’, lead of the Clinical Trial Distribution Network (CTDN) project, and Executive Committee member of the IHI READI Consortium, addressing underserved and unrepresented populations in clinical studies.
Amanda has extensive experience building trust-based collaborations across stakeholder groups, particularly in health.
She is the former CEO of the European Haemophilia Consortium (11 years) and previously worked on behalf of people with rare bleeding disorders globally through the World Federation of Hemophilia. She served on the European Commission Expert Group on Rare Diseases, the European Patients’ Forum Ethics Committee, and the EU co-funded project EUHANET. She is a EUPATI Fellow from Cohort 1 and Member of the South-Africa based NuvoteQ Foundation Advisory Committee.
Before patient advocacy, Amanda worked for the humanitarian diplomacy unit of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva and in New York, where she had a special focus on women and children affected by armed conflict, and liaised with multiple political organs and agencies of the United Nations system.
She is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
