Joacim Rocklöv is an Alexander von Humboldt Professor and Director of the Heidelberg Planetary Health Hub (www.hei-planet.com) at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health and the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing. His research focuses on infectious disease risks at the socio-ecological interface, particularly the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation. Rocklöv’s group develops data-driven models to capture these interlinkages and applies them to generate predictions and counterfactual scenarios, providing evidence to guide policy and decision-making.
