Juliane Fluck is Deputy Scientific Director of the ZB MED Information Centre for Life Sciences and Professor of Information Management at the Institute of Geodesy, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bonn. She is heavily involved in the development of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) to make data FAIR and as such accessible in a privacy preserving way for data analysis and training of AI applications. J. Fluck leads NFDI4Health, the NFDI for personal health data, is the main NFDI representative for the health sector and aims to establish NFDI4Health as one of the health infrastructures in the German and European health data space. She is also involved in the development of FAIRagro, the NFDI for agricultural systems, and is a partner in the Base4NFDI consortium, which focuses on the development of basic services for the NFDI. J.Fluck is a strong supporter of public evaluation and standardisation activities, e.g., by participating in and organising evaluation competitions such as TREC and BioCreative. Juliane Fluck is a biologist with a PhD in molecular genetics and immunology. She has been working in bioinformatics since 2020. During her time in the bioinformatics group at Fraunhofer SCAI, most recently as deputy head, she led various academic and industrial projects in biomedical and clinical text mining and data integration to build privacy-compliant extraction and data analysis infrastructures.
