Christina Chilimba is a Graca Machel Trust Alumni. She has worked as a youth consultant under Graca Machel Trust on a project to improve social Accountability for Health Financing and infrastructure for SRHR through youth-led, evidence-driven advocacy in Malawi. She has also undergone training and mentorship programs on advocacy and accountability with Health Policy Plus, a USAID-funded project in her country. She is also an alumni of the Next Generation Academy hosted by the National Democratic Institute of Malawi. Christina Chilimba is a founder of ALL for Youth, a youth-led organization in Malawi founded in 2019, she has been in the Youth/Civil Society space for 6 years. The organization has mentored over 20 young people on the move at Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Dowa Malawi on SRHR, youth leadership, involvement and engagement since 2020; as well as ran peer education programs for young people living with HIV and key population in the same period. As a youth representative, she has effectively coordinated the SRMNCAH + Nutrition Youth Platform in Malawi since 2018. Christina Chilimba is also working as a consultant for UNAIDS on the Fast Track Cities Project. She joined the UNAIDS in August of 2021 and has been UNAIDS’ Focal Point for Protection Against Sexual Exploitation since January 2022. Before joining UNAIDS, Christina worked as a Microbiologist and Chemist for a pharmaceutical company, Pharmanova, as a youth programming consultant for Graca Machel Trust, and as a Senior Programs Officer for the Malawi Network of Aids Service Organization. Christina is a postgraduate holder of Environmental Health focusing on Public Health and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science focusing on Environmental Management. Currently, a student at Columbia University studying Masters in Public Administration. She has 4+ years of experience advocating for health programs, including Sexual Reproductive Health (SRHR), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Tuberculosis (TB), and Nutrition, with national and sub-national levels of government, including developmental partners. She also has 3+ years working on HIV programming and demonstrated experience in program management, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, finance monitoring, Human Rights, and partnership management. She has remarkable expertise in facilitation and communication skills linked with high-level meetings. She has experience working with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and populations, such as Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), youth, People Living with HIV(PLHIV) and, those at high risk. She is a Co-Chair for the Capacity Building and Country Engagement Technical Working Group on the Global Level under the Global Financing Facility Civil Society Organization Coordination Group
