Daniel Zeymer von Metnitz is an eminent final year Medical Student deeply involved in global health, statistics and medical image analysis. Beyond his academic endeavors, Daniel holds crucial leadership roles, actively championing for students and the extensive health sector. As the Vice-President for External Affairs (VPE) and a member of the global Executive Board of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), he represents and communicates on behalf of over 1.5 million medical students worldwide. As VPE, he directs all External Relations and Advocacy efforts for IFMSA and leads a team consisting of 6 Liaison Officers and 5 Regional Directors from the Americas, Africa, EMR, Europe, and Asia-Pacific Regions. Daniel was a distinguished member of the IFMSA delegations at both the 74th and 76th World Health Assembly. His leadership positions him prominently on topics such as Health Systems, Digital Health, Universal Health Coverage, Primary Health Care, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
