Funmi has more than a decade experience in clinical Medicine within the NHS UK, a stint in the Pharmaceutical industry as a Drug Safety Physician covering APAC & Europe for investigational & marketed medicinal products, medical devices & diagnostics. She is a member of American Telemedicine Association, ATA.
Funmi has won several awards and recognitions including most recently the Sanofi AfricaTech Challenge, Africa Vs Virus Challenge by AfDB, EU et al, The Female Tech Founders Award 2020 sponsored by Her Majesty's Government, Zenith Global Health Awards for Advancing healthcare with technology. She was a Speaker and Panelist at the United Nations CSTD panel where Mobihealth was endorsed as one of the selected businesses offering inclusive sustainable innovative products and services and recently at the Africa Development Institute, ADI contributing to shaping policy for telemedicine adoption and building a resilient healthcare in Africa post COVID. Her work is being supported by the Africa Development Bank, AfDB, the DCMS and DIT of the UK Government and has been featured on BBC, CNBC, Channels TV, Channel 5 News, Africa.com, Telegraph, Financial Times-London to mention a few.
